What to expect
マスタードシードクリスチャン教会ではリラックスした雰囲気で皆さんをお迎えします。クリスチャンであってもなくても誰でも大歓迎です。私たちは皆さんが歓迎されていると感じるコミュニティであること、皆さんへの神の愛について聞くこと、聖書から共に学び、気軽に質問できることを望んでいます。皆さんが毎週参加してくれることを望んでいます！
You will find a relaxed and welcoming environment at MUSTARD SEED クリスチャン教会. Anyone is welcome to come, regardless of whether or not you are a Christian. Our hope is that you would feel welcome to join our community, to hear about God's love for you, to learn from the Bible together, and even ask questions. We hope you’ll join us each week!

What does a worship gathering look like?
出迎え
Welcoming
礼拝の前に、入り口で出迎え、歓迎し、名札が手渡されます。到着した瞬間から歓迎されていると感じていただければ幸いです！礼拝が始まる前に他の方々と交流したり、ご自由に席にお着き頂いても構いません。
初めて参加される方は、出迎えの者にその旨をお伝えください。喜んでお話しし、ご質問に答え、ご案内いたします。
Before the worship service, you will be greeted at the door, welcomed, and given a name tag. We hope that you feel welcome from the moment that you arrive! If you would like, this is a great time to meet others or you are free to make your way to a seat before the service begins.
If this is your first time, please let the greeter know and they would love to meet you, answer any questions, and provide any guidance.

Worship
私たちは毎週、神を賛美する歌を歌い、共に聖書を読みます。これは、神の偉大さと、神が私たちに対して持っておられる愛への応答として、神に栄光を帰すために行います。
賛美は通常、英語と日本語の両方で歌われる。賛美中は歌詞と訳詞をご覧いただけます。来てくださる方はどなたでも、一緒に神を賛美しましょう。クリスチャンでない方は、歌に参加せずに聴くだけでも結構です。
Every week we sing songs of praise to God and read scripture together. We do this to bring glory to God in response to how great he is and the love that he has for us.
The songs are usually sung in both English and Japanese. The lyrics and the translations are provided as we sing. Everyone who comes is welcome to join us in singing praises to God. If you are not a Christian you are also welcome to take in the songs without participating in the singing if you prefer.

Teaching
集会では、聖書箇所を一緒に読み、聖書の教えについての解説を聞きます。この時間は日本語と英語で行われ、通訳がつきます。真理が示され、理解しやすく、学んだことに基づいて行動を起こすことができる教えとなることを願っています。
私たちは、聖書が霊感を受けた神のことばであると信じています。聖書は、神、私たち、そして私たちの住む世界についての真理を教えています。私たちが信じていること、教えていることの詳細については、私たちの信条をお読みください。
During the gathering, we will spend time reading passages from the Bible together and hearing someone explain what the Bible says. This time is in both Japanese and English with translation provided. We hope that the teaching will present truth, be easy to understand, and will encourage you to take action based on what you learn.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. The Bible tells us truths about God, us, and the world that we live in. Please feel free to read more about our beliefs to know more about what we believe and teach.

Kids
MUSTARD SEED クリスチャン教会は、子どもたちを愛し、その家族も愛しています。毎週日曜日の礼拝中に、子どもたちが学んだり遊んだりするための、安全で楽しい子どものクラスを行っています。こどもたちはゲームやクラフト、歌などを通して、神さまによってつくられて愛されていることを学びます。このクラスは日本語の先生と英語の先生が教えるので、子どもたちはバイリンガルで学ぶことができます。
1歳から5歳、そして6歳から10歳の子供たちには神様について学ぶためにデザインされたクラスがあります。子供をお連れの方は、礼拝に参加する前にキッズチェックインテーブルで子供達をお預けください。
At Mustard Seed Christian Church, we love kids and their families. We have special classes for children during the service, where kids can learn and play in a fun and safe environment. Through games, crafts, songs, and other activities, children will learn about how God made them and loves them. Kids' Classes are lead by both Japanese-speaking and English-speaking volunteers, so your child can learn in a bilingual environment.
Children ages 1-5 and 6-10 have classes designed specifically for them to learn about God. If you have children, please check them in at the kids check-in table before going into service.

クリスチャン教会ほど、深く有意義な人間関係を築くのに適した場所はありません。礼拝の後、多くの人々が教会で一緒に過ごし、お互いを知り、一緒に食事をし、一緒に時間を過ごします。
礼拝の後に残っていただく必要はありませんが、他の方と交流したり、他のイベントに参加することを歓迎します。
There is no better place in the world to build deep, meaningful relationships that in a Christian church. After the worship service many people spend time together in our church building, getting to know each other, eating together, and spending time together.
While there is no requirement to stay after the service has ended, we hope you will feel welcome to stay and meet others or join one of our other events.

バイブルスタディは毎週、日本語または英語で行われます。聖書箇所を一緒に読み、それに関連したトピックについて一緒に話し合う、フレンドリーなグループです。
After the worship service we also regularly have many events, studies, or groups that meet in the afternoon.

First Steps is a study introducing the foundational beliefs of Christianity. If you are not a Christian, this is a great opportunity to learn more and ask any questions you may have. First Steps is always available in Japanese and English and can be done in Chinese, Portuguese, or Korean as well.

The Bible study gatherings meet every week in Japanese or English. They are friendly, welcoming groups where they read a passage of the Bible together and discuss topics around that passage together.
